Meghan Markle Is 'Ready To Be A Mom Again' After Move To Los Angeles

Is baby number two on the horizon for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle? A source close to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex dished on their plans to expand their family and it seems like the couple's 15 month old son, Archie, might be getting a sibling sooner rather than later.

It's been a busy year for Harry and Meghan. Not only did they step down from their official royal duties back in March, they also moved three times in just a few short months. While they originally settled in Vancouver, Canada after wrapping up their final royal engagements, the Sussex family moved to Los Angeles in the spring. They temporarily stayed at Tyler Perry's Bel Air mansion before settling into their own home in Santa Barbara. All the while, they were caring for their young son, as well.

“Now that they’re comfortable in their new home and everything else in their lives is locked in and going well, Meghan’s told Harry it’s baby time,” an insider told Us Weekly of the couple's plans. “She’s ready to be a mom again and can’t wait to start the process.”

“Meghan loves being a mom, and seeing how happy and complete Harry is with Archie by his side is richly rewarding for her,” the source continued. “Meghan’s confident a second child will be perfectly manageable on a practical level and will bring them even more love and joy. She and Harry are both really excited for the next phase of their family journey.”

Harry and Meghan have been open about their desire to have another child in the past. The Duke of Sussex even told Jane Goodall in a public chat that they definitely plan to have one more child. “Meghan wanted them to find their footing with Archie first, and also get the big move out of the way and know where they were going career-wise,” the source explained. “Once all that was in place, she gave Harry the go-ahead.”

Harry and Meghan welcomed Archie in May of 2019. Though they've stepped down from their official royal roles, Archie remains seventh in line for the throne. Should he have a sibling sometime in the future, they will follow behind as eighth in line.
