Jennifer Lopez Unveils The Making Of 'Dinero' Video With Cardi B, DJ Khaled

It was obvious that the music video for Jennifer Lopez, DJ Khaled, and Cardi B's Spanish-charged anthem, "Dinero," would be dripping dollar bills, but it seems like the budget for the production was even bigger than you could imagine, as per an exclusive behind-the-scenes featurette, which premiered on iHeartRadio on Friday (May 25).

In the two-minute teaser, viewers are given a sneak peek at the chaos that went on behind the camera for the Joseph Kahn-directed clip. Even though you may have thought that the ostrich, cars and some of the other props from the clip were completed in post-production, it's clearly not the case for the high budget number. Elsewhere in the montage, Lopez is seen doing what she does best by taking charge in front and off screen when cameras wrap on the final scene. She goes from sizzling siren to HBIC, starting a round of applause for the wrap-up and sending thanks to her super-director for staying at the helm of the video.

Lopez recalled what initially drew her to Cardi in a recent episode of TRL. "You know, it’s funny, I followed Cardi on Instagram for like four years now,” the singer revealed. "She was just, you know, working in the clubs and talking to her phone from bed. But there was something about her that was so — I didn't even know she was from the Bronx, that's not why I was watching it."

"She would speak in a way that would make sense to me. She had a tremendous insight about life, people, and the way they acted and what they did. I just found her very funny and amusing and I guess it was because it reminded me of the girls I grew up with," Lopez continued. "And my family!"

"Dinero" is Lopez's first English single since 2017's "Almost Like Praying," her collab with Lin-Manuel Miranda featuring Artists for Puerto Rico, and was premiered in its entirety to a live audience during the 2018 Billboard Music Awards on Sunday (May 20). If you want to catch the song in action, make sure you head out to see the pop titan in her "All I Have" Las Vegas residency, which will wrap up in September. If you still can't get enough, you can also catch Lopez on Season 2 of her NBC dance competition, World of Dance, as well the closing season of her hit TV drama series, Shades of Blue.
